Overview
Zions Bancorporation is looking for a Liquidity/Financial Analyst to join the Asset Liability Management (ALM) team in Salt Lake City. This role applies business analysis skills, understands regulatory requirements, produces management reports, and participates in model and process improvements. The position supports liquidity and interest rate risk management as part of the ALM team. Responsibilities
Create and analyze financial statements and other documents to support the monthly report for the Liquidity Stress Committee (LSC) and Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) meetings. Complete analyses in one or more areas such as GL reconciliation; configure Empyrean to generate ALCO reporting that includes banking book interest rate risk, liquidity risk, financial planning, and funds transfer pricing. Improve data quality management procedures and control processes following appropriate standards and requirement gathering. Create, update, and maintain policy and procedure documents. Assist the ALM and Liquidity team in developing and analyzing financial models. Act as a liaison with various departments and project groups to resolve problems. Perform special projects as requested and other duties as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business-related field, plus 2+ years of business-related experience including accounting, finance, financial statements, financial analysis and management experience from a balance sheet of equivalent complexity. Preferred
Master’s in Finance, MBA, or quantitative disciplines such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics. Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, data warehouses, financial and project management techniques, banking products, regulatory requirements and processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; good judgment; creativity; ability to deliver and achieve goals; ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Knowledge of statistics, VBA, SQL; experience with SQL Server tools, Python, Power BI; Empyrean experience a plus. Interest in statistical modeling, liquidity, and financial analysis is highly desirable. Location and Perks
