We are a fast-growing, publicly-traded company listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market that operates in the artificial intelligence (AI) space. We are quickly expanding operations across the United States and other countries through a combination of organic growth and M&A transactions. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controller to join our team. The Controller will lead all of our accounting functions, work with our CFO to drive organizational strategies impacting our financial results, and act as a partner and advisor to management.This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that will report to our CFO. Key Responsibilities: ·Lead and execute all aspects of our accounting function and financial reporting, supporting management with the execution of our vision and strategy. ·Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, prepare financial statements and draft financial components of SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs and registration statements). ·Facilitate completion of financial reviews and audits with our external auditors. ·Enhance our system of accounting policies and procedures. ·Maintain strong internal controls to ensure SOX compliance. ·Research technical accounting issues and evaluate new accounting pronouncements. · Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and quarterly and annual tax provisions. · Manage the preparation and distribution of business segment P&Ls and other financial reports, providing analysis to highlight appropriate KPIs and trends. · Prepare budgets & forecasts, cash flow projections, and CAPEX, ROI & IRR analyses. · Assist key personnel with their review and understanding of financial data and reports. ·Build the accounting department to meet the demands of a quickly growing company. ·Recruit, train and challenge team members to exceed expectations, communicating goals, measuring accomplishments, holding staff accountable and providing useful feedback. ·Optimize and automate accounting processes, diagnose and fix work-flow problems and drive a faster monthly / quarterly closing process. ·Help select, implement, and maintain a new ERP accounting software system. ·Manage the stock incentive plan and all stock-based compensation accounting. ·Perform financial due diligence and financial evaluations of proposed M&A targets and oversee M&A integration from an accounting and finance perspective. ·Prepare financial projections and other materials for debt and equity capital raises and assist with the preparation of investor presentations and press releases. Additional Responsibilities : ·Perform market research to validate business and growth assumptions of the company. ·Assist management with the development and execution of business strategies. ·Make presentations to management, the audit committee and the board of directors. ·Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: ·Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. ·7+ years of experience acquired through public accounting at a regional or national CPA firm and as the controller or assistant controller for a publicly-traded company. ·Strong knowledge of GAAP and key accounting concepts. ·Substantial experience with SEC reporting, SOX compliance, internal and external audits, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements. ·Proficiency with a variety of financial accounting and reporting systems. ·Proven track record of implementing faster monthly and quarterly closing processes. ·Advanced excel skills with ability to create polished and streamlined reports. ·Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. ·Must be highly analytical, solutions oriented and able to see the “big picture”. Preferred Qualifications: ·Proficient at performing financial modeling and complex financial analyses. ·Experience with SaaS accounting. ·Proficient with accounting for M&A and capital-raising transactions and the integration of the accounting operations of acquired companies. ·Experience building teams and managing change in a high-growth, fast-paced organization. ·Understanding of accounting for international operations and foreign currencies. Compensation: ·Salary range of $165K to $180K. ·Stock options. ·401(k) with company match. ·Fully-paid health benefits package, including medical, dental and vision. Seniority level
