This is an evergreen Lecturer Pool for the College of Business at UCCS. Applications will be reviewed on a semester-by-semester basis as business needs arise.

Lecturer - Accounting & Taxation (pool)

: $3,000 - $5,000 for a 3-credit hour course. The pay rate depends on the number and type of courses taught (undergraduate, graduate) and the education level of the lecturer. This position is exempt from FLSA overtime provisions. Because this appointment is temporary, you will not be eligible for benefits normally provided to faculty, such as paid vacation, medical, or retirement benefits. However, sick leave will accrue at 0.034 hours per hour worked. Work Location

at UCCS will establish a pool of Lecturers in Accounting & Taxation for future temporary, non-tenure track positions. Appointments are part-time ( This position involves teaching courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, auditing, government and nonprofit accounting, accounting information systems, and taxation. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. This is a revolving Lecturer Pool. If a course opening matches your qualifications and the minimum requirements, you may be contacted. The university will not sponsor work visas or permanent resident applications for this position. Essential Functions Provides instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in-person and online. Develops and schedules student learning experiences to meet learning outcomes. Creates evaluation tools to assess student progress. Familiar with learning management systems such as Canvas. Performs other duties as assigned by the College of Business. We are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive workplace. Qualifications Education: A Master's degree in accounting, taxation, or a closely related field, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate credits in relevant fields, is required. Teaching experience and current industry engagement are preferred.
