The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient processing of accounting information and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures related to Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and Aimbridge Hospitality house rules. Management associates are expected to work as much as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities; OEM associates are eligible for overtime, which is calculated accordingly. Responsibilities

Qualifications: Associate's degree with at least 3 years of related experience; or a Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of related experience; or at least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field. Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheet manipulation, troubleshooting, and basic PC problem resolution. Supervisory experience required. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately. Ability to work effectively under stress and in high-pressure situations. Strong problem-solving skills, including anticipation, prevention, identification, and resolution of issues. Capacity to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt as needed. Effective listening skills to understand and resolve concerns of coworkers and guests. Ability to work with financial data and perform basic arithmetic functions. Responsibilities: Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Adhere to personal appearance and grooming standards, including dress code and name tag policy. Provide attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented interactions with guests and employees. Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times. Comply with all Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations. Understand the organization of Aimbridge Hospitality Hotels and the functions of each department. Oversee the duties of the General Cashier, including daily reconciliation of deposits. Maintain the over/short log and controls for all cashier banks. Post all city ledger payments daily per the Daily Mail Cash Receipts (DMCR). Prepare all bank deposits, 'due backs,' and bank change orders according to standards. Manage accounts receivable billing and collections, including credit policy adherence and maintaining a trace system for AR collections. Conduct bi-monthly credit meetings with the General Manager. Maintain records of approved direct billing accounts and process returned checks and chargebacks. Perform monthly Accounts Receivable balancing. Manage the Special Operating Account and Petty Cash Fund. Voucher invoices using Purchase Order and Checkbook procedures. Ensure all invoices are submitted to Corporate Accounts Payable weekly. Perform daily income audits for accuracy of reports. Prepare and submit the Corporate Flash Report as scheduled. Complete monthly checklists and month-end packages. Monitor and oversee Night Audit accounting procedures and train Night Auditors. Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure all employee paperwork is processed timely. Generate weekly productivity reports and compute worked hours for payroll. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards guests, employees, and management. Comply with state and local laws affecting payroll, wages, and taxes. Record employee benefit requests and monitor their use. Foster open communication with managers and staff. Be familiar with all SOPs related to Accounting, HR, Loss Prevention, and house rules, promoting awareness among staff. Attend weekly staff meetings and provide training as scheduled. Participate in scheduled MOD coverage. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Operate hotel systems according to standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
