Senior Accountant

is responsible for accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, as well as the resultant managerial reports and financial statements for Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN). The Senior Accountant is also responsible for accounting for Equity-Based Compensation at FBIN and updating and communicating changes to the expense forecast as needed. The Senior Accountant will also work closely with accounting teams on various accounting topics. A successful candidate will be analytical and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and communications skills. This position is eligible for a

hybrid

schedule based out of our Deerfield, IL office. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Responsible for completing the monthly FBIN-Corporate consolidation. Prepare monthly financial statements for FBIN-Corporate, analyze results, and communicate variances in a concise manner. Analyze & consolidate various Quarter and Year-end reporting schedules, including the debt and equity roll forwards and stock-based compensation footnote. Partner with the HR and Tax teams as the Accounting subject matter expert for Equity-Based Incentive Compensation topics within FBIN. Work closely with HR on the accounting for our non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Complete account analysis & reconciliations on a monthly basis and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. Coordinate with Business Units, Corporate Accounting, and Finance on intercompany accounting items. Collaborate with FP&A on preparing the Corporate cash flow forecast, analyzing Corporate G&A forecast variances, and updating the Corporate G&A forecast. Work closely with Treasury to account for foreign currency, cash flow and interest rate hedges, new debt issuances and debt modifications. Assist in special projects. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5-7+ years of financial reporting or equivalent experience Experience with MS Office, SAP, and BPC or similar financial reporting software PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in a public company or public accounting Salary Range
