The Sr. Credit Analyst will evaluate credit and relevant data to determine the credit risk of potential customers. They make recommendations, issue approvals and declines in accordance with Stellantis Financial Services credit risk policies, compliance guidelines, and profitability models. Responsibilities
Review and evaluate all credit reports in commonly used formats and in formats unique to SFS. Apply credit policies, in accordance with FCRA, across multiple product lines for various loan types. Manage exceptions to published credit authority using judgment to produce risk outcomes within company expectations. Complete final disposition on credit applications or forward to appropriate level of authority for final approval. Make outbound and handle inbound calls to negotiate final terms of contracts with dealers and the DRM. Assist with escalated calls from Dealers and DRMs who are unhappy about a credit decision; re-evaluate decisions and maintain positive relationships. Participate in targeted outbound call campaigns to cultivate long-term dealer relationships, as time permits and in coordination with DRMs. Work with Funding department and DRMs to resolve credit and verification issues in funding. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior level associates within the department. Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum 3 years auto industry experience as a credit analyst or related automotive disciplines. Education
High school diploma and/or GED. Skills Required
Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry-specific periodicals, technical manuals, and government regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to calculate figures related to discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and income. Ability to derive conclusions and make recommendations beyond written policies or standard guidelines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle high call and application volumes and manage competing demands. Overtime required
– required on an as-needed basis. Travel 0-10%
- as required on an as-needed basis. Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities:
Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ. Physical Demands
