is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Product Control Analyst
to join our Finance team in
New York City . In this role, you will play a critical part in the daily P&L production process, working closely with trading, risk, operations, and finance teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You'll be responsible for trade and position reconciliations, P&L attribution, and supporting the month-end close, as well as contributing to broader initiatives including automation and audit support. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial products with a collaborative mindset and a drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the daily Profit & Loss (P&L) production and reporting across trading desks
Reconcile trades, positions, and valuations between front-office and middle / back-office systems
Perform daily trade and position reconciliations to ensure accuracy of risk and P&L
Investigate and resolve P&L and valuation breaks in coordination with middle and back-office teams
Support month-end close processes, including balance sheet substantiation and P&L attribution
Work closely with traders, risk, operations, and other finance teams to ensure financial integrity
Participate in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives
Support audit, investor reporting, and regulatory deliverables as needed
Handle various ad hoc requests on a daily basis
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or related field (internships included)
Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and detail oriented
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Good written and verbal communication skills
Team player
Strong Excel skills. Coding experience is a plus
Familiarity with financial products (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives)
