The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful AWS-based implementations. You will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. Apply AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, demonstrate technical credibility across stakeholders, and distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decomposing problems and making trade-off decisions regarding performance, scalability, security, and business impact. You will validate technical solutions against business goals, manage technical risks, and communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. As you progress, you will lead increasingly complex projects, shape cross-organizational technical strategies, and establish best practices in your domain. You will execute project plans, proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, escalate when appropriate, and drive projects to successful completion while exceeding customer expectations. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes with the AWS Cloud. We partner with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and deliver guidance through global specialty practices across various solutions, technologies, and industries. This position requires the candidate to possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects Leveraging knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards About the team

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in cloud computing 5+ years of customer-facing, large-scale implementation consulting experience across multiple cross-functional teams, plus 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise IT projects following documented methodologies (e.g., Agile) and tools (Confluence, Jira, etc.) Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred Qualifications

AWS experience preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers Experience supporting National Security mission systems and representing AWS within customer environments, driving trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $238,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
