Job Description Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned events in accordance with hotel standards. Anticipate guest needs, solicit business, and assist in controlling expenditures.

Service all local events (Galas, Weddings, Fundraisers, Day Meetings) with opportunities to support corporate events.

Organize bookings from initial reservation to departure, including meeting and guest room requirements, food and beverage, and audiovisual needs.

Create detailed floor plans, resumes, and banquet event orders for seamless execution.

Conduct pre-planning tours, tastings, and pre/post-conference meetings.

Lead and motivate team members, serving as a role model.

Build and maintain rapport with clients and hotel staff.

Work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.

Manage multiple programs, ensuring all duties are completed successfully.

Maintain effective communication with clients throughout planning and event execution.

Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

Respond promptly to guest needs, resolve complaints, and maximize revenue through upselling.

Coordinate group requests and manage setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of event spaces.

Monitor staff performance and ensure service standards are met.

Ensure proper documentation and organization of event details.

Follow up post-event to ensure guest satisfaction and secure re-bookings.

Participate in meetings, menu tastings, and team development activities.

Manage deposits and billing processes for clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

3-5 years’ experience as a Conference Services Manager, preferably in a luxury hotel.

Knowledge of room capacities, setup styles, and event logistics.

Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Basic arithmetic and computing skills.
