Requisition No:859419 Agency: Justice Administrative Commission Working Title: STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE, 16TH CIRCUIT- INVESTIGATOR II - 21005093 The Office of the State Attorney, 16th Judicial Circuit of Florida, has an opening for an Investigator Position in our Key West office This is a complex and confidential Investigator Position which involves: Initiating investigative work to support pre-trial and trial preparation; may testify in court as to conclusions and evaluations of evidence Evaluate evidence of investigations; prepares reports and findings Conduct criminal investigations as assigned Participate in multi-agency law enforcement task forces Conduct investigations and surveillance, and undercover operations. Perform investigations for the Grand Jury Prepare and execute arrest and search warrant affidavits Make arrests on probable cause, capias, or warrant Execute search warrants and serve arrest warrants and subpoenas/summons on victims, witnesses, and suspects Interview victims, witnesses, suspects, and document findings. Locate witnesses, provide transportation for those witnesses, and monitor their whereabouts throughout court proceedings. Coordinate and provide transportation for expert witnesses as well as victims or witnesses. Provide personal and physical security as needed Serve as a liaison between the State Attorney’s Office and law enforcement agencies. Recommend training and equipment needs Attend and assist at crime scene investigations Bilingual employees will assist in translations Supervise as assigned Organize and prepare evidence for cases; assist attorneys and investigators in preparing civil and criminal cases; interview witnesses, retrieve evidence, and prepare investigative reports. Perform related work as required. Employee must possess a State of Florida Division of Criminal Justice, Standards and Training Certificate, and meet the requirements of Section 943.13, Florida Statutes.
