Real Estate Attorney Responsibilities
Provide legal advice related to property and real estate dealings. Identify and assess legal risks across real estate development and construction projects. Provide proactive strategic advice on risk mitigation, contract negotiation, and compliance. Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, land use agreements, development and construction contracts, easements, joint development agreements, letters of intent, non-disclosure agreements, restrictive covenants for subdivisions and master-planned communities and documents ancillary to real estate purchase and sale agreements, development, and construction. Manage title objections and closing process with title companies and ensure marketable title for new developments. Support the General Counsel and corporate office with corporate governance and entity management, including formation, preparation of necessary documents (e.g., bylaws, resolutions, certificates, agendas), maintenance of corporate records, and compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. Review, draft, and negotiate real estate contracts and lease agreements. Ensure compliance with real estate laws and regulations. Coordinate with real estate agents and brokers to finalize transactions. Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Real Estate Attorney Knowledge of real estate laws and procedures Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to manage large volumes of work and multi-tasking Familiarity with title insurance, HUD statements, closings, and estoppels Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Florida State Bar admission Benefits
