The role currently manages a small payroll team and has potential to grow. Salary ranges provided by Nigel Frank International reflect a typical market range and will be based on skills and experience. Base pay range:

$90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Salary:

Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to take ownership of payroll operations and ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant processing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing UKG Payroll in a corporate environment, preferably integrated with D365 Business Central. This role reports to the Controller and currently manages a small payroll team, with potential to grow. Key Responsibilities

Oversee full-cycle payroll for the organization, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Manage and mentor payroll staff, currently 1 team member with potential expansion. Ensure accurate integration between UKG Payroll and Business Central, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Maintain and update payroll policies, procedures, and documentation. Prepare reports and analyses as requested by leadership. Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll matters, providing guidance to HR and Finance teams. Qualifications

5–10 years of payroll management experience. Extensive hands-on experience with UKG Payroll; experience managing a small payroll team required. Solid understanding of payroll tax rules and regulatory compliance. Experience with D365 Business Central a plus, but not required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and handle payroll operations end-to-end. Los Angeles office, west of Downtown / near USC. 4 days in-office, 1 day remote per week. Why Join
