Barclays Services LLC seeks Security Consultant, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available). Responsibilities

Support Cyber Security activities and other related activities to ensure the organization’s assets and IT systems are appropriately protected against unauthorized activities including deliberate or accidental loss. Execute security risk assessments and build threat models during the change & development lifecycle to identify vulnerabilities within Barclays IT systems, applications and infrastructure, ensuring compensating security controls and countermeasures are embedded to enhance security posture and resilience against cyber threats. Enablement of DevSecOps (and shift left) by providing engagement channels for customers and stakeholders who seek security advice and input into business plans and opportunities, or technology change designs, influencing key stakeholders in COO and CSO to create security strategies to enable business and technology evolution. Provide security reviews for prospective 3rd party technology products and services in collaboration with CISO, CIO and Product Team functions. Transfer residual risks to the business/customer as required by the bank’s enterprise risk management framework. Contribute to the design of security solutions and support the delivery of security solutions within complex international projects and delivery programs. Provide detailed specifications for Cyber Security solutions and support the development of security testing plans. Work with the business and project teams to ensure residual risks are adequately mitigated to meet the business risk appetite. May telecommute. Salary and Benefits

Minimum Salary: $140,000 per year Maximum Salary: $170,000 per year The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available. To enable ‘secure by design’, supporting the bank’s change programmes, and design and implement a secure system and architecture across a broad set of security domains, including data security, security risk management, asset security, security architecture and engineering (incl. cloud security), communications and networks, security operations, software development, security assurance testing, and identity and access management (IAM). Accountabilities

Control function or security guild responsible for technology change oversight and governance. Execute security risk assessments and build threat models during the change & development lifecycle to identify vulnerabilities in the bank’s IT systems, applications and infrastructure, ensuring compensating security controls and countermeasures are embedded to enhance security posture. Communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Enablement of DevSecOps (and shift left) by providing engagement channels for customers and stakeholders seeking early security input into business plans or technology change designs, influencing COO and CSO to create security strategies that enable business and technology evolution. Provide security reviews for prospective 3rd party technology products and services in collaboration with CISO, CIO and Product Team functions. Transfer residual risks to the business/customer as required by the bank’s enterprise risk management framework. Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to support incident response and investigations with knowledge of the bank’s technology systems. Participate in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards and procedures aligned to the bank’s risk tolerance, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
