$72,160.00/yr - $115,800.00/yr Responsibilities
Handle field visits, office work, and projects for large commercial clients; use time-management and organization skills. Perform hands-on site assessments of physical properties including roofs; evaluate site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and rack storage arrangements of client products. Follow FM Engineering Standards and communicate recommendations and/or engineering solutions to ensure client understanding; strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills are essential. Operate from a home office and travel to clients' facilities daily; overnight travel is expected approximately 30% of the time; willing to travel to Natural Catastrophe sites as needed. Work independently with a plan to learn, then progressively assess risks at larger commercial properties. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or fire protection Strong verbal and written communications skills Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Efficient time management with ability to work independently Proven technical capability including diverse knowledge of engineering principles Valid driver’s license Physical ability to climb commercial ladders (e.g., inspect roofs), lift >25 lbs., and work in confined spaces where required by some clients Proficient in MS Office products You will be expected to work independently and should be willing to operate from your home office and travel to client sites on a regular basis.
