HDR is looking for a

Senior Construction Consultant

to join our national Trenchless Services team. This role will report to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead, with primary responsibilities supporting the execution of design and field services associated with trenchless services: engineering, design, and construction applications. Responsibilities

Provide Construction Oversight for Trenchless installations. Conduct constructability reviews of Trenchless engineering efforts. Review deliverables for Trenchless construction activities on a daily basis. Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts. Conduct Route Assessments for Trenchless aspects of Pipeline Siting & Routing efforts. Oversee Trenchless Construction Oversight activities (coordinating staffing, developing/reviewing CM scopes). Interface with clients to support Business Development for Trenchless services. Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control. Prepare the Project Management Plan of Construction Management Plan. Develop procedures for executing construction contract administration activities, including document, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management; implement procedures with the project team. Perform construction management activities such as procurement scheduling, subcontract scopes, subcontract terms review, constructability and value engineering reviews, construction estimating and schedule reviews, and project construction performance presentations. Administer and manage construction activities; monitor progress of the overall design relative to construction requirements. Perform value engineering and constructability reviews; coordinate local bidding for field quotes. Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages; coordinate document management. Review and coordinate submittal reviews (shop drawings, pay applications); prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders. Review/coordinate construction schedules (baseline and updated) and manage project budget and schedule. Coordinate and manage project quality assurance, control, and inspection services; ensure subcontractor compliance with Health and Safety Program. Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly). Coordinate local bidding efforts; take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software and web-based collaboration software for document exchange. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document/time/cost/quality management, change management, site safety, bidding, scheduling, and subcontract administration. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other stakeholders. The compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and location. The targeted salary range is $135,000 - $165,000. Primary location is United States-Louisiana-Lafayette with many other locations listed in the posting. We are an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
