Overview Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon - The Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Clinical Series.
The successful candidate will complement and expand our existing services in orthognathic surgery, maxillo-mandibular advancement for sleep surgery, osseointegrated implants for prosthetic dental reconstruction, dentoalveolar surgery, management of benign odontogenic lesions, treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders and 3D surgical planning/printing. This position does not include responsibilities in head and neck oncologic surgery, microvascular reconstructive surgery, or cosmetic facial surgery.
Our University-based practice offers cone-beam imaging technology, an in-office procedure room, comprehensive dental care, and the opportunity to collaborate with supportive colleagues in a highly ranked and respected academic environment. In addition to UC Davis clinical practice, a portion of the candidate’s practice will be based at an educational clinic in the community operated by the University of the Pacific Dental School. Candidates will also have access to extensive opportunities for academic research and professional advancement.
Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Ability to demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States
