Overview
We’re partnering with a leading U.S.-based property and casualty insurance organization seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to establish and mature their SRE function. This role has high visibility, focused on building a framework for monitoring, reliability, and maintainability as the company transitions more of its core systems to the cloud. This position will implement best practices around service reliability, design observability frameworks, and proactively identify performance issues before they impact users. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in SRE principles, CI/CD, cloud environments, and monitoring platforms—and a collaborative mindset to influence and align with DevOps, Development, and Architecture teams. Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Build and optimize monitoring frameworks and dashboards (Dynatrace, Application Insights, etc.) to drive data-driven reliability improvements. Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and design long-term solutions to improve scalability and resilience. Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure new releases meet reliability and performance standards. Lead and participate in incident response and root cause analysis, ensuring continuous improvement from postmortems. Recommend and help integrate new observability and automation tools to enhance system visibility and maintainability. Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and operational best practices across the enterprise. What You’ll Be Excited About
Opportunity to build the SRE function from the ground up within a financially strong, innovative organization! Exposure to cutting-edge cloud and monitoring technologies with the ability to influence future toolsets! Collaborative environment with cross-functional DevOps, Architecture, and Development teams! Competitive compensation with a target bonus of up to 20% and hybrid work flexibility! Long-term career growth as the organization continues to expand its cloud and digital modernization efforts!
