Overview
Senior Process Engineer - Capital Projects at Clorox leads manufacturing projects from ideation through startup, focusing on technology innovations and product initiatives within the Manufacturing Technology organization. Responsibilities
Lead the development of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and organizational priorities. Drive risk management by identifying potential project risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project components. Support capital planning processes by contributing technical insights for future investment opportunities. Champion the integration of innovative technologies and best practices to enhance plant reliability, efficiency, and competitiveness. Travel 50 – 75% to plant and equipment vendor sites as needed for project work. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related discipline). Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience across multiple functions; ideally including 2+ years in Operations, 2+ years in Plant Engineering, and 2+ years in a Staff Engineering or Technical role. Experience managing capital projects, including involvement in capital budgeting and project justification processes. Proven ability to clearly document and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Willingness and flexibility to travel 25–75% to support on-site project execution and vendor coordination. Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, with solid knowledge of engineering standards and practical experience with Continuous Improvement (CI), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Technical expertise in dry materials and powder handling, as well as liquids processing systems is preferred. Experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), FDA-regulated manufacturing, or PSM environments a plus. Willingness to travel 25%-75%. Workplace
