The Sr Director - Tech@Lilly (IT) Procurement leads a team of sourcing associates to optimize our spending of over $1 Billion annually for IT related services, software and hardware. The key categories of spend for IT services include application development and maintenance services, systems integration services, telecommunications, and information security. Software spend areas include Software as a Service (SaaS), on-premise software and desktop/laptop related software. Our key hardware purchases are data center hardware (e.g. servers), desktops/laptops and printers. Responsibilities

Leading and developing a team of ~8 sourcing professionals who develop and implement sourcing strategies to deliver savings/value for IDS while enhancing IDS capabilities. Achieving team performance targets for savings, diverse supplier spend, inflation management, implementation of guided buying, supplier rationalization, and supplier risk management. Developing and implementing process efficiencies and automation (including agentic AI) to enhance productivity and simplify buying and issue resolution for business partners. Engaging in internal and external governance activities to exert procurement influence, ensuring collaboration within the team and across functions, and establishing execution strategies with problem solving. Providing procurement expertise (strategy, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, relationship management, risk management, etc.), project prioritization, and business alignment to enable efficient completion of team activities and work-life balance. Performing effective internal account management with the IDS Lead Team and their teams, learning business areas, strategies, goals, objectives, and long-term needs. Coordinating and maintaining supplier relationship management activities for key IDS suppliers to enable deeper and more strategic relationships. Creating and executing strategies to meet or exceed supplier development goals. Influencing, reviewing, and exercising authority to ensure all transactions are FRAP compliant and that contract proposals are linked with functional leadership, finance and procurement leadership and respective ATS and ATC approvers. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of experience in sourcing or a related role 3+ years of experience managing or leading teams Proven experience in IT procurement, ideally with leadership responsibility over an IT sourcing organization Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (Lilly will not provide work authorization or visa sponsorship) Preferences

Prior sourcing experience managing IT spend categories Prior leadership/supervision experience Proven track record of leading large sourcing projects Experience managing 3rd party relationships including selection, contracting, governance, and issue resolution Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to build relationships, influence, and work effectively without formal reporting relationships Mentoring or coaching ability Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel MBA Location

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $154,500 - $226,600. Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus (depending on company and individual performance).
