Position details The Tenure Track Assistant Professor will have expertise at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and neuroscience, with an interest in bringing new AI methods to neuroscience or using neuroscience findings to develop AI solutions. The candidate may work in areas related to neuroimaging, computational models of cognition, genetics, and related fields. The position includes teaching and advising at graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in scholarly activities, and providing departmental service. The aim is to develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program and to contribute to excellence in undergraduate education and to participate in the department’s PhD and MA programs.

Responsibilities

Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels

Advise students and contribute to the department’s educational mission

Engage in scholarly activities and pursue extramural funding

Provide service at the departmental level

Contribute to the PhD and MA programs and to undergraduate education

Qualifications and expectations

Expertise at the intersection of AI (e.g., deep neural networks, large language models) and neuroscience

Interest in applying AI methods to neuroscience and/or using neuroscience data to develop AI solutions

Capability to develop an internationally recognized research program and secure external funding
