Be the Customer Champion: Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed. Drive Sales Success: Sell to customers, increase case growth, and acquire new business. Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your approach to individual customers. Manage time and territory effectively. Team-Based Selling: Collaborate with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts. Work with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery. Lead with Insight: Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market data, business directories, leads from existing clients, and attendance at relevant events. Delivery Resolution: Manage deliveries to the routing schedule; troubleshoot issues during order processing (e.g., mis-picks, stock-outs). Competitive Advantage:Understand market conditions, product innovations, competitors’ offerings, and pricing; share information with customers as part of value-added services. Stay on the Move: Drive personal vehicle for regular check-ins, site visits and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction. Supervision
No direct reports. Work Environment
Daily outside-the-office environment in your assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions. Minimum Qualifications
1+ year of sales experience preferred. HS Diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing. Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities. Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals. Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills. Team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus. Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs. Why join US Foods?
