Join Jacobs as a Regional Maintenance Specialist - West Region. Jacobs is looking for a Regional Maintenance Specialist to join our team in the West Region. As part of Jacob’s Operations Management & Facilities Services (OMFS) Group, the Regional Maintenance Specialist will assume a leading role supporting maintenance and asset management efforts at all projects within the region. In this role, you'll be responsible for: Facilitate maintenance knowledge sharing between projects in the region and the company as a whole, related to technical support for mechanical, electrical, I&C and PdM support Support optimization of treatment facilities maintenance within the region through benchmarking and key performance indicator analysis Evaluate the projects’ maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and provide input for possible improvements Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations Perform skilled mechanical repair work on industrial water/wastewater treatment plant and related equipment; and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment Assist projects in set-up and training for predictive maintenance programs (vibration, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, etc.) Conduct condition assessments on project vertical assets and document assessments in the ACES software program Prepare, consult on, or review maintenance cost estimates and level of effort; and perform ongoing project reviews to determine client satisfaction with past service and develop recommendations on the need for future service. Facilitate meetings with staff or subcontractors to keep jobs on task and address any issues that may have been encountered This position is considered a hybrid role working from home and traveling to project sites within the region. You may be asked to support projects in other regions as needed. Here's what you'll need: Ten (10) years of complex and/or industrial maintenance experience. US Military training is acceptable Experience with Instrumentation & Controls Experience with electrical systems, troubleshooting/ repair Proficient in the use of CMMS software (example, Maximo, Maintenance Connection, SAP) Highly proficient in the use of spreadsheet and/or database computer programs Experience and understanding of budget preparation and financial accountability Ability to travel approximately 75%-85% Physical ability to walk project sites and work outdoors under varying weather conditions Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Valid US driver’s license with no major infractions Ideally, You’ll Also Have: Comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of industrial equipment maintenance and extensive knowledge of methods to reduce operating costs, improve reliability, and ensure permit compliance Water and/or wastewater equipment maintenance experience is a plus Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required.
