Learn how you could help make great things possible in your community and around the world. Join the growing Electrical business class in the Building Engineering Services group at HDR. BES offers industry-leading electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, structural, control systems, fire & life safety, and lighting design services for diverse building projects, including public, municipal, private, and government sectors. Our projects are regional and local, supported by experienced staff specializing in Water/Wastewater, Data Centers, Healthcare, and Industrial facilities, delivering engineering excellence. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Coordinating electrical engineering work within a multidisciplinary team throughout project development. Establishing client relations and participating in marketing, design, and production meetings related to electrical systems. Leading electrical aspects on various projects. Participating in code compliance reviews with governing agencies. Conducting schematic, design development, and contract document sessions at project sites alongside project teams. Managing workload to ensure timely completion of documents. Tracking project finances and coordinating work efforts to adhere to schedules. Collaborating with project management for project reviews and reporting. Mentoring staff and overseeing activities of electrical engineering professionals. Performing additional duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus. Experience in healthcare or data center projects with consulting firms preferred. Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED is desirable. Local candidates are preferred. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis. At least 10 years of experience in electrical building design (lighting, power, systems). Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. Extensive knowledge of electrical power, lighting, signal design, life safety, and building management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
