Test Systems Design Engineer - Entry and Associate Level at Boeing. This role involves hardware prototyping, integration, verification and test for space electronics programs, with opportunities to work in a fast-paced team on complex technical challenges. Engineers will collaborate across mechanical, systems, electrical, and software disciplines, designing, building, developing, and testing hardware from concept to delivery. This position is onsite in El Segundo, CA, with mentorship across electrical engineering, RF, embedded software, and mechanical engineering disciplines. Responsibilities

Design and develop special test equipment (STE) for power/digital and RF/mixed signal systems used in space-based applications, including defining STE architecture and hands-on development. Conduct detailed circuit design for power/digital and RF/mixed signal subsystems (power supplies, microcontrollers, FPGAs, logic, memory, filters, amplifiers, mixers). Model and analyze designed circuits and test systems using tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and ADS. Design and conduct testing methodologies to support designs and gather data for technical performance measures using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and vector signal analyzers. Document designs, procedures, and results; manage using version control (e.g., SVN). Provide technical support during production and testing of space-qualified electronics; troubleshoot anomalies during integration, testing, delivery, and operation of test systems or flight units. Recommend procurement of test equipment to ensure proper tooling for testing setups. Design automated tests for spacecraft modules, slices, and units using Python, LabView, C#, and related tools. Basic Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program. Preferred Qualifications (Desirable)

Knowledge/experience in control, analog, digital, or power supply circuit design; experience with mechanical design. Experience with electronics lab instrumentation for troubleshooting circuit design and hardware manufacturing errors. Software/coding experience using LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, Python, FPGA Verilog/VHDL, and MATLAB. Master’s degree is preferred. Typical Education/Experience

Entry Level, Level 1: advanced technical education or equivalent. Associate Level, Level 2: typically 2+ years of related experience or equivalent. Other Requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the listed location. Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required); interim and/or final Top Secret/SI/SCI clearance post-start may be required.
