Purpose Statement / Position Summary This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support Saddleback Memorial Medical Center’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.
To assist in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated hospital equipment in good repair. Responsibility for the maintenance of all HVAC equipment or all electromechanical equipment (Nurse Call systems, all bed repairs, line isolation monitors, scales, bed controls) are the primary duties. Minor electrical work, mechanical repairs, minor plumbing repairs and other duties relating to maintenance are the secondary duties. Essential Job Outcomes 1. Consistently applies Infection control Policies/Procedures 2. Creates culture of safety 3. Attends Department Specific Education/Training, In-services, Staff meetings 4. Participates in Dept. Specific Performance Improvement/Assurance Projects 5. Performs advance building maintenance and repairs 6. Values and Competencies 7. Maintains all work areas and equipment in a neat, safe & organized manner 8. Maintains records, logbooks, preventative maintenance logs and other key systems 9. “Other duties as assigned: Pay Range: $ 27.52 / hr - $39.90 / hr Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Experience • 3 Years’ experience in a hospital setting preferred • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Education • Must possess a valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance (California minimum). About the company
