is seeking a talented

Water-Wastewater - Water Resources Engineer

to support our Water, Wastewater, and Water Resources practice based in the

New England Area - Chelmsford, MA, Boston, MA, or Rocky Hill, CT . The selected mid-level engineer will focus on water/wastewater/water resources utility planning, design, and condition assessment. Responsibilities include site investigations, field measurements, utility investigations, capacity studies, condition assessments, conceptual through final design, cost estimating, and construction administration/observation. The successful candidate will have opportunities to develop professionally through collaboration with senior engineers, project managers, clients, regulatory agencies, and industry experts, as well as attendance at professional conferences. Responsibilities Provide technical support for a variety of utility design projects, including treatment plants, pump/booster stations, water line and collection line design, rehabilitation, master planning, and construction administration. Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings. Work under supervision of a project manager in the water/wastewater/water resources practice or senior level team members. Utilize basic engineering principles, judgment, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems. Work on routine or detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and engineering analyses. Perform work with increasing responsibility. Propose approaches to solve new problems. Identify discrepancies in outcomes, results, and analysis of engineering tasks. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Provide guidance to entry-level engineers. Record and interpret data, conduct analyses, prepare reports, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Perform data gathering site visits, field measurements, mapping, and observations during construction. Provide construction support for review of shop drawings, requests for information, and site visits to the construction. Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Qualifications Minimum Requirements BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline

+2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 2+ years of experience in planning, modeling, and/or design of water, wastewater, and stormwater utility projects. Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

or ability to obtain in 6 months. Valid U.S. Driver's License and, as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review. Preferred Qualifications Progressive experience with water/wastewater utility planning, modeling, condition assessment, and design. Basic knowledge of industry standard software (examples include AutoCAD, GIS, hydrologic/hydraulic models). Demonstrated time management skills, work ethic, and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and coordinate with technicians, designers, engineers, and project managers for high-quality work products. Ability to communicate and coordinate with clients, subconsultants, regulatory agencies, and public stakeholders as needed to accomplish objectives. Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential and willingness to learn. Detail oriented while understanding project goals and big picture. Ability to multi-task and work independently. Flexible — can adapt to shifting priorities and work schedules. Additional Information This position does not offer relocation assistance.
