IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer – 1 in Denver, CO in our Greenwood Village office who specializes in the hospitality, resort and condo markets or equivalent specialization in multi-family housing. Responsibilities
Lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for low to moderate-complexity projects, primarily within the hospitality, resort and condo markets. Work closely with peer engineers to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Interact directly with clients and ensure client deadlines and standards are met. Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and design of electrical systems for the vertical building industry. Manage within project budgets and timelines while mentoring junior design engineers. Lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system analysis and design; utilize engineering software to create designs, specifications, and calculations. Interact with clients to understand needs, gather requirements, and communicate technical information; build and maintain client relationships. Support fast-paced consulting projects within the commercial interiors and tenant improvement market as part of a project team. Lead project planning, scheduling, and multi-project management to meet deadlines and objectives. Document design decisions and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met. Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions; collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical solutions. Evaluate and re-use existing mechanical systems in renovation projects. Provide in-process design reviews of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design, calculations, and specifications; implement IMEG quality control processes. Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices; prioritize safety and mitigate risks associated with electrical systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions; oversee projects through construction administration and provide client communication. Qualifications
Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specifications; strong analytical skills in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics as they relate to HVAC, plumbing and fire protection. Proficiency with industry software including HVAC load calculation software and Revit BIM. Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines; manage multiple projects; mentor less experienced staff; strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays. Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred 4 years minimum experience, 6 preferred, in building design consulting with hospitality/resort/condo or multi-family housing experience This position is not eligible for sponsorship. This position is based in our Greenwood Village office, part of the greater Denver metro area. Physical requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, see, hear; lift up to 25 pounds; occasional driving, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching; exposure to outside weather and loud noises. Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $92,000 - $123,000. Minimums and maximums may vary by location. Individual pay will be based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
