Overview

FHP Manufacturing, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a joint venture between Robert Bosch (BOSCH Group) and Carrier Corporation. FHP Manufacturing is a leader in the production of geothermal and water source heat pumps, providing some of the most efficient heating and cooling comfort solutions in the industry. Responsibilities

First escalation point of contact for testing and programming operations: Leak Test, Final Run Test, Motor Programming, and Controller Programming Communicate efficiently with end of line test associates to provide them with quick support to guarantee daily production targets Support proper operation and maintenance of testing and programming equipment on all assembly and support lines Assure accessories used for testing operation are available for immediate replacement if necessary: Thermocouples, control cables, power plugs Troubleshoot failures of heat pumps and test equipment to locate root cause and provide resolution Report issues and findings using the FPY report. Drive improvements using basic problem-solving techniques Train or assist in training operators of run off stations to ensure tests are being properly performed, help to identify and resolve improvement opportunities and gaps with training Validate troubleshooting information shown by Testbuilder 3.0 after any failure occurs is accurate and update work instructions and sequence cards as needed Create and update work instructions to reflect current procedures in testing and validate improvement ideas with the test engineer Recognize deficiencies in the test process and find options for improvement together with test engineer Other Workplace Considerations

Must be flexible – changing work shifts (days and/or hours) as required. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or Computer Science 3+ years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience 3+ years of experience working in a team environment Additional Information

Manufacturing/Engineering internship experience. Ability to use piping schematics, electrical wiring diagrams and work instructions to assure 100% unit compliance with quality standards and engineering design. Leadership / technical background - leading groups and delegating tasks. Effective problem-solving skills using proven problem-solving methods. Good written and oral communication skills. Strong project management / planning abilities. Good understanding of effective use of manufacturing personnel and equipment. Solid Project planning and project management skills. Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated experience in product launch and related quality requirements. Must have demonstrated a high level of teamwork, initiative, and involvement in previous work assignments. Demonstrates discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures. Ability to read and apply work instructions, follow directions, understand and execute safety and quality procedures. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
