Overview
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for our accelerometer production line. This position requires a blend of engineering acumen, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvements in manufacturing capabilities while ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
Process Development & Optimization: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs in the production of accelerometers. Utilize principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to analyze and improve production line performance. Conduct tool and process capability studies to identify areas for improvement. Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects related to process improvements, new product introductions, and equipment installations. Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely and successful execution. Monitor and report on project progress, addressing issues as they arise, and ensuring stakeholder alignment. Technical Support: Provide technical support to the manufacturing team during production runs, troubleshooting technical issues related to equipment and processes. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and modifications of existing products. Generate and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, manufacturing process flowcharts, and process control plans. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to drive optimal solutions. Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability, production readiness, and cost analysis. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing team. Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics. WE VALUE Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing. Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent. Experience in aerospace manufacturing processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Results-driven and proactive individual who is capable of working autonomously while maintaining a focus on achieving organizational objectives.
