Vacancy Name: Senior Process Engineer Vacancy No: VN370 Department: Engineering Location: Greensboro Employment Type: Full-Time The Senior Process Engineer – Corporate Engineering is responsible for executing process development, design, and productivity programs using practical application of fundamental engineering and scientific principles. The ideal candidate must be skilled in developing, improving, and optimizing new and existing chemical processes. The successful candidate will be located at Aurorium’s Greensboro, NC plant site and report through the global engineering organization. As a member of the global team, the candidate will support multiple projects that will span across Aurorium locations and businesses. The candidate will have the initial primary responsibility of supporting and developing Greensboro productivity initiatives. The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing and implementing plant optimization projects within chemical manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities

Leads the development and design stage of process improvement projects Collaborates with multi-functional teams to drive process changes and supports the implementation and start-up of new or modified processes Develops engineering models to improve scale-up and ongoing operation of Aurorium processes to secure and enhance process knowledge Defines, leads, and manages process design projects to generate constructible designs for new or expanded chemical processes Incorporates commercial and operational cost elements into design and productivity objectives to achieve commercial and technical success Collaborates with internal project teams, operations, and external consultancy to deliver engineered solutions on capital improvement projects; delivers new chemical process designs with well-defined PSM safeguards and operational parameters Compliance

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is required Experience

Preferred 5+ years’ experience within the chemical, pharmaceutical, or related industries Experience working at a chemical plant is required Experience with process design and development, including developing process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams Specialized expertise in batch and continuous reactions/processes, organic chemistry, separations, chemical kinetics, formulation, solids handling and processing, catalysis, heat and mass transfer, mixing/blending, crystallization, integrated reaction/separations is preferred Experience with Aspen modeling, statistical software packages, and DCS infrastructure is preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated experience with cross functional teams and engineering projects Analytical approach to defining unit operations and developing process equipment calculations and designs Experience working in a PSM-regulated environment and leading safety reviews Fundamental knowledge of continuous and batch chemical operations including reaction, distillation, heat transfer, solids handling, utilities, and process control Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment Critical thinking and analytical abilities to assess situations and drive decisions Passion for continuous improvement and problem solving Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Embody the core values of Aurorium: credible, outcome-oriented, driven, empowered accountability Benefits and Equal Opportunity
