The Software Certification Engineer will support the certification process and contribute to safety and excellence in aviation. Position Responsibilities

Designs, develops, analyzes, and maintains software systems that meet industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards. Partner with stakeholders to translate system-level requirements into software requirements and models with traceability to design, code and test artifacts. Oversee the preparation and submission of technical documentation required for FAA certification, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness. Perform software system-level analyses to identify risks and issues; implement mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle. Conduct code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards. Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems. Develop user documentation and training for end users of software products. Review product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by tracking performance of internal teams and suppliers. Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and regulatory changes relevant to software development. Perform software project management and software supplier management activities. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

5+ years of experience in software engineering. 5+ years of experience with software development using Java, C++, or Python. 1+ year of experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Knowledge of regulatory compliance (FAA, ISO, ITAR, etc.) and related standards. Travel
