Electrical Engineer (PE)
who thrives on solving technical challenges and shaping the built environment with purpose. You’ll lead the development of electrical power and lighting systems for a range of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use building projects—bringing clarity, efficiency, and excellence to each phase of delivery. This role is for someone who sees engineering not just as a technical task, but as a craft—balancing code, creativity, and coordination. You’ll play a lead role in project execution while mentoring emerging talent, driving best practices, and building trust with clients and collaborators alike. What You’ll Be Doing Design power distribution, lighting, and control systems across a wide range of building types. Perform electrical load calculations, photometrics, voltage drop analysis, and related system modeling. Prepare clear, coordinated, and technically sound construction documents and specifications. Project Execution Lead electrical design efforts from schematic through construction phases, including construction administration support. Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, and code officials to ensure design intent and compliance. Conduct site visits, attend project meetings, and resolve field conditions with practical, responsive solutions. Provide technical oversight and mentoring to designers and engineers-in-training. Participate in QA/QC reviews and foster a culture of quality, responsiveness, and continuous improvement. Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client expectations. Communicate design rationale clearly and effectively—both internally and with clients and partners. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an
ABET-accredited
program. Licensed
Professional Engineer (PE)
in any U.S. jurisdiction. Minimum
4 years
of professional experience in building systems design. Strong understanding of the
National Electrical Code
and other industry standards. Proven experience producing coordinated construction documentation and engineering calculations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; comfort with multi-disciplinary collaboration. Preferred (But Not Required) Revit proficiency or experience designing in BIM environments. Familiarity with
SKM
or other power analysis tools. Exposure to low-voltage systems including fire alarm, data/telecom, and security infrastructure. Passion for mentoring, innovation, and pushing technical excellence forward.
