Responsibilities

Design and Analysis

Develop structural designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Perform calculations to ensure structures can withstand various loads and forces.

Analyze building materials for strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

Project Management

Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for construction.

Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project alignment.

Oversee construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Manage project timelines and budgets.

Compliance and Standards

Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.

Conduct inspections and provide certifications as required by law.

Problem Solving

Identify and resolve design and construction issues.

Provide technical advice and support during construction phases.

Documentation and Reporting

Prepare and present reports, proposals, and other documentation.

Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

0+ years of experience in structural engineering or a related field

Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.

Abilities

Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
