Maintenance Planner

is responsible for supervising the efficient and effective use of planning and scheduling resources to conduct maintenance activities to maintain, improve, and build the manufacturing infrastructure. The Maintenance Department’s purpose is to deliver great performance by driving world-class equipment reliability. Qualifications

Responsible for developing the daily and weekly maintenance work plan for 25-35 technicians over a 3-shift operation. Manages work priority, develops job plans, defines parts and materials, determines crafts and skills, and engages the proper resources to execute the maintenance plan through collaboration with technicians. Provides equipment-related expertise and technical guidance for improving Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities. Works with equipment vendors to understand rebuild frequencies based on equipment hours of operation. Attends meetings with technicians to exchange feedback on work order content. Issues scheduled work orders and PMs to the maintenance team. Works with storeroom and maintenance personnel to assemble kits containing required parts for overhauls, repairs, and work order tasks. Estimates, documents, and tracks required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, skills required, and compiles KPIs for relevant documentation. Manages backlogged work orders that require major or facility-wide shutdowns. Follows up with supervisors and leads to ensure that completed work orders are turned in with improvement comments in a timely manner. Determines and coordinates vendor-delivered services. Communicates with contractor resources to monitor performance expectations of work orders. Ensures equipment is up to date on food safety preventative care, calibrations, and documentation stored correctly. Participates in process improvement teams and other Continuous Improvement initiatives as needed.
