Overview
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Facilities Engineer (Level 3/4) to join our team in Baltimore and/or Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The Facilities Engineer plans, designs, and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. They gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, restrictions, completion dates, and construction feasibility; coordinate with architecture/engineering firms; prepare bid sheets and contracts; estimate design costs; and inspect construction progress to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and schedules. Responsibilities
Plan, design, and oversee reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facilities and equipment Gather and review data on facility/equipment specifications, restrictions, and feasibility Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms to develop design criteria and prepare drawings Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and related costs Inspect or direct inspection of construction and installation to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and schedules Qualifications
Basic Qualifications – Level 3
Bachelor\'s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; OR a Master\'s degree and 3 years of relevant experience Experience with building automation control systems supporting manufacturing operations Experience with building power and electrical distribution systems Experience with building mechanical systems operations (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, AHU, RTU, compressed air) Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance US Citizenship Required Basic Qualifications – Level 4
Bachelor\'s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; OR a Master\'s degree and 6 years of relevant experience Experience with building automation control systems supporting manufacturing operations Experience with building power and electrical distribution systems Experience with building mechanical systems operations (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, AHU, RTU, compressed air) Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance US Citizenship Required Preferred Qualifications
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree Knowledge of building automation control systems (Siemens or Honeywell) Experience with building maintenance management and tracking systems (work orders, CAFM, PM scheduling) Knowledge of AutoCAD Experience with external vendors and contractors supporting facility infrastructure operations Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; compensation may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be available depending on the position. Equity and long-term incentives may apply for certain roles. Additional Information
