Discipline Manager - Traffic Engineering
to lead transportation and traffic engineering services across key projects. This role requires a leader with deep technical expertise and strong project management skills to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for both public and private sector clients. As a leader at Waggoner, you will mentor staff, oversee project execution, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. The role can be located in Baton Rouge, LA or Jackson, MS. Your Primary Responsibilities include:
Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the Traffic Engineering discipline, drive strategic initiatives, and mentor staff. Technical Expertise & Project Delivery:
Serve as Engineer of Record, conduct traffic studies, develop traffic signal designs, and oversee construction documents. Client Engagement & Collaboration:
Maintain relationships with transportation agencies and clients, prepare proposals and project scopes. Project & Team Management:
Manage project portfolios, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and ensure project safety and standards. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Active PE and PTOE licenses. 10+ years in transportation/traffic engineering and project management experience. Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with DOT projects, traffic signal and roadway design, traffic studies. Why Join Our Team:
