HVAC Technician

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) . This position is based in Baltimore, MD, and involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance at multiple sites within the region, including VA, MD, and DE. The HVAC Technician will travel daily to various sites, perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections, and coordinate with customer contacts for access. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform daily preventive maintenance on HVAC and other equipment. Complete checklists, close work orders, and document work in Maximo. Perform minor repairs and work with subcontractors as needed. Maintain excellent customer relations during job performance. Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, air handlers, and refrigeration units. Handle refrigerants and perform chemical tests on cooling towers and chilled water systems. Balance airflow and ensure proper air circulation. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Perform low voltage wiring and work with BAS systems. Maintain inventory of parts and supplies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 5-10 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience. EPA 608 Certification for refrigerants. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug tests. Own basic tools for maintenance. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of various HVAC systems (Mini-Splits, Rooftop Units, Chillers). Good mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to work independently and travel within the region. Preferred Qualifications 10-15 years of HVAC experience. Experience managing multiple locations. Universal EPA 608 Certification. Controls knowledge is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods, and travel via company vehicle. Must bring tools to work sites and perform physical tasks as needed. Work Environment Technicians report to the Baltimore office daily unless deployed to a site. The environment involves working in customer locations and handling tools and equipment. Additional Information No supervisory responsibilities.
