Overview
The Director, Partner Development & Deal Execution is responsible for leading the execution of wholesale and bundling partnerships, building CNN’s partner pipeline, and ensuring a smooth handoff into activation. As the senior operator on the team, the Director reports to the VP of Growth and oversees both the deal process and the managers responsible for marketing and operations. Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end process of sourcing, vetting, and securing strategic wholesale and bundling partnerships across telco, SVOD, hardware, MVPD, and subscription verticals. Build and manage the partner pipeline, including outreach, relationship development, and pitch strategy. Lead deal execution in close coordination with Legal, Finance, Product, and Marketing. Transition signed deals into activation, ensuring a smooth handoff to Marketing and Operations leads. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine CNN’s partner strategy. Qualifications & Experience
8–10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or deal execution, preferably within media, streaming, or subscription businesses. Proven track record of structuring and closing high-value deals with consumer-facing brands or platforms. Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance strategic priorities with deal-level execution. Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Product.
