Overview

Bristol Infrastructure Design Services, LLC is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the Department of the Navy. Hybrid opportunities available based on office requirements. Responsibilities

Mechanical engineering services for plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Digital data controls/instrumentation and control systems; energy saving and conversion systems; renewable energy/energy efficient systems/studies. Power distribution and generation systems, large utility plants and distribution systems, air pollution control, water and wastewater control systems. Process and chemical process piping systems; piping and instrumentation diagrams; security controls and ATFP for mechanical design of major size and complexity for government facilities. Design for projects including multi-story office buildings, steam plants, hospitals, housing, manufacturing, training, waterfront structures, laboratories, command and control centers, hangars, medical facilities, and large utility systems. Qualifications and Skills

Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical Engineering is required. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles for a wide range of construction projects and mechanical utility systems. Knowledge of DoD and Navy specifications, codes and standards (ASME BPVC, ASHRAE 189.1/90.1/62.1, 54/58/90A/96, SMACNA, IMC, IPC, IBC, NFPA, etc.). Knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign requirements affecting mechanical design for NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic AOR. Experience with Autodesk software, Microsoft Office, and DoD computer systems; ability to produce written analyses and oral presentations; project management and leadership experience. Ability to coordinate work of others, lead teams, and manage budgets and scheduling; adherence to Safety Policy and PPE requirements. ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; minimum 10 years of professional experience in code-compliant facilities design for new construction and renovation. Benefits
