As the High Voltage Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager, you will lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians and oversee design quality, budget and schedule for multiple design services and EPC projects. You will support client interaction, proposals, and business development. The Team

Develop and manage budget, schedule, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines for assigned projects Actively manage project changes with the Client in coordination with the Project Manager Review lower level engineering work; coordinate multi-discipline activity; may serve as engineer of record Build strong working relationships with project leadership, design teams, and support staff Communicate client interests to project team and develop approaches to meet client drivers Support business development and pursuit activities Occasional travel to support site visits, design reviews, and client meetings Apply knowledge consistently with Black & Veatch quality program Ensure client and industry standards are maintained; provide guidance and mentorship to team members Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing EPC or design services overhead transmission line projects for investor-owned utilities in the United States 11+ years in design of high voltage overhead transmission lines; strong knowledge of PLS-CADD, line routing, structural loading and foundation design, and project lifecycle Strong communication skills and client relationship development Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable standards Interdisciplinary coordination knowledge: procurement, subcontract administration, permitting, real estate, land acquisition, construction support Knowledge of proposal processes and engineering estimates P.E. license highly preferred Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program 11+ years related experience Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search as required by law Certifications

Professional registration/licensure in the designated home office country is typical; active pursuit may be applicable in some cases. Additional licensure may be needed when practicing abroad. Work Environment/Physical Demands
