Lead Electrical Engineer
with a hybrid schedule out of the
Atlanta GA office . Responsibilities
Produce high quality technical and professional deliverables for projects and proposals Apply deep knowledge of engineering techniques across multiple technical functions Utilize advanced analytical and design techniques to solve technical problems Demonstrate advanced experience in the electrical discipline Lead the development of initial electrical system concepts Develop work plans to address technical issues within project time and budget Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams to develop drawings and specifications for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners Coordinate with internal project discipline team members, equipment vendors and manufacturers Perform project management activities including writing proposals, establishing budgets, and managing client interactions Design complex electrical distribution systems (medium and low voltage) and electrical building systems (general power, lighting, grounding, etc.) Survey and evaluate existing conditions Perform construction administration Develop and maintain client relationships Uphold workplace safety and adhere to WSP health, safety, and harassment policies Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis 7+ years of experience designing electrical systems for high-performing commercial or industrial facilities Registered Professional Engineer (PE) Experience mentoring and training others in the field Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and codes Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter Preferred Qualifications
LEED, Uptime ATD, etc. credentials Experience with short circuit coordination and arc flash studies Mission Critical/Data Center experience Experience with international projects and knowledge of international codes and standards About WSP
