8:00AM to 4:30PM with 30-min lunch - 8:00AM to 5:00PM with 1-hr lunch Job Description: Client is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire an experienced Manufacturing Diagnostics Engineer to join its team. Responsible for executing processes to bring up, validate, test, and troubleshoot the company vehicles while implementing diagnostic systems and infrastructure. In this role, you will develop and refine processes for testing electrical and firmware systems to support end-of-line diagnostics during the manufacturing process. You’ll be a critical link between engineering and production, ensuring vehicles meet functionality, reliability, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled diagnostics engineer with a strong background in automotive systems, controller integration, and network troubleshooting. You are hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced environments where collaboration and problem-solving are essential. As a Manufacturing Diagnostics Engineer, you\'ll: Take the lead in addressing all electrical and functional challenges on the manufacturing line. This includes troubleshooting issues related to software/firmware, wiring harnesses, various networking protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive and Standard Ethernet, GMSL, etc.), hardware, and infrastructure. Validate vehicle behavior, triage issues, identify root causes, and lead resolutions during testing, bring-up, firmware updates, and calibration. Work closely with multidisciplinary engineers to collect and interpret requirements and translate them into scalable validation test scripts and test cases. Develop automated troubleshooting systems and operator guidance for the manufacturing line. Build test plans and test coverage for vehicle production, considering vehicle behaviors, functionalities, and cycle times. Design and implement future manufacturing lines with next-generation diagnostic architectures to support higher-volume production. About An Autonomous Mobility Company Role specifics and target candidate profile Ideal candidate profile: Bonus Qualifications Master’s degree in a relevant area such as Computer Science or Engineering Experience with integration and automation of manufacturing and test equipment Background in creating, reading, and writing to tables in SQL database Experience with computer network engineering, TCP / IP protocols, communication over API Daily tasks: Responsibilities Serve as the first line of defense for all electrical and functional issues on the manufacturing line including but not limited to software / firmware, harness, networking (CAN, LIN, Automotive and Standard Ethernet, GMSL, etc.), hardware, and infrastructure issues. Validate vehicle behavior, triage issues, identify root causes, and lead resolutions (pertaining to software, tooling, deploy, harness, hardware, etc.) during vehicle manufacturing testing, bring-up, firmware updates, and calibration. Work closely with multidisciplinary engineers to collect and interpret the component and vehicle level requirements and translate them into scalable system-level validation test scripts and test cases. Develop the system for automatic troubleshooting and workaround guidance for operators on the Manufacturing line.
