Dewberry is currently seeking a
Senior
Environmental/Civil Engineer
for our
Parsippany, NJ
office. The position will perform a variety of environmental engineering tasks in support of navigation channel maintenance dredging operations including beneficial use, coastal restoration, stormwater management, resiliency planning, and environmental permitting in the
New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania
regions. Responsibilities will include: preparation of plans and specifications for dredging, analysis of sediment management options, and hydraulic analysis.
Responsibilities
Assigns tasks to engineers, scientists, technicians or administrative staff.
Interaction with the client in the field, at meetings, and on conference calls
Plans and coordinates aspects of work.
Prepares and manages scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
Assists with proposals to provide professional services.
Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
Meets project, client and regulatory deadlines.
Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
Required Skills & Required Experience
BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
Minimum 15 years of experience
PE (NJ, NY, PA) is required
OSHA 40-hr certification
Supports Practice Leads and Management.
Meets project, client and regulatory deadlines.
Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
Working knowledge of NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYCDEP and/or PADEP requirements a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
Composes technical reports, memorandums and other written communication
Handles multiple concurrent projects.
Responsible for field sampling and contractor oversight at locations in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Responsible for preparation of construction plans and specs, and supporting calculations/analysis in collaboration with survey data
Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and GIS software.
Knowledge/experience with PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, bridge scour analysis, stormwater management, roadway drainage design for transportation-related projects is strongly desirable.
Experience with 2D hydraulic modeling desired
Proficiency with basic MS Office software
Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required

Salary Range The projected range for this position is
$157,150 to $202,050
annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NJ only.
