Patent Agent (Electrical Engineering) Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Patent Agent with expertise in electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly in advanced technologies such as 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, and wireless communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make significant contributions to the evolving field of intellectual property law, focusing on cutting-edge technological advancements. Duties: Collaborate with inventors, researchers, and attorneys to evaluate invention technology and assess patentability. Draft and file patent applications with the USPTO. Respond to USPTO actions and office actions as part of patent prosecution. Manage client portfolios and assist in patent strategy development. Stay updated on emerging technologies such as 5G, AI, image processing, and RF front-end. Requirements: At least 2 years of patent prosecution experience. Strong background in electrical engineering, including expertise in 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, and RF front-end technologies. Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) or eligible to register. Proven ability to work with clients and contribute to patent portfolio management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Certifications: USPTO registration or eligibility for registration. Skills: Knowledge of patent law and patent prosecution procedures. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with advanced technologies such as AI, robotics, and wireless communications. Job Location:
