Our core expertise lies in providing comprehensive services for complex commercial and public sector building projects, with a strong focus on technical excellence in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Job Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing electrical design solutions across multiple building and infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting design, as well as strong project management skills. Key Responsibilities
Project Initiation & Planning: Review and confirm the electrical scope of work against proposal details, identify missing or required electrical information, and conduct internal kickoff meetings. Electrical Design Development: Develop initial electrical design concepts, validate design direction, and lead electrical design submissions and milestone reviews. Coordination & Oversight: Coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, and structural disciplines, ensure compliance with NEC and local codes, and oversee coordination with vendors and consultants. Construction Support & Documentation: Review electrical submittals, provide construction administration support, and support troubleshooting of electrical issues during construction. Project Monitoring & Reporting: Update and monitor electrical project schedules and report electrical design issues, resource needs, or risks to the Director of Operations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 5-8 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within MEP consulting. Proficiency in electrical design software and project management tools. Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and industry standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
