Sr. Transportation Highway / Roadway Engineer

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Transportation Highway / Roadway Engineer to be based in New England with the primary focus being MA, CT, and RI. Job Responsibilities: Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Approves and signs off on work. Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts. Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. Presents complex technical solutions to clients. Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Participates in development of technical proposals. Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects. Develops construction cost estimates. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain reciprocity for the New England states within twelve months if not currently registered in the required states. Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in New England (must include some MassDOT, CTDOT, and/or RIDOT project experience). Experience preparing technical specifications. Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility. Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation, InRoads, AutoCad and Civil 3D. Desire to develop Marketing skills. Able to assist in proposals and presentations. Participate in professional organizations representing the company. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
