Hybrid Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer II position will support daily manufacturing, optimize manufacturing processes and work on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects. Job Duties
Work with assemblers to troubleshoot production line issues. Leads projects, provides project plans, schedules, deliverables and communicates project status with stakeholders. Owns drawing/model updates and generates Change Orders. Designing tools/fixtures in SolidWorks. Supports NCR, CAPA, SCN activities, working with Quality Engineering and other functions as assigned. Supports validation of equipment and processes as required (TMV/IQ/OQ/PQ). Demonstrates good judgement in selecting manufacturing techniques and test methods and understands limitations in materials and equipment. Applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes. Analyzing NCR data to understand defects and drive root cause projects. Participation in cross function project teams. Perform operator training for new and existing processes. Follows GWIs, GSOPS and owns MPs to ensure control of product/process design to maintain high quality. Supports testing in lab, writing & executing protocols and report writing. Other duties and projects as assigned. Job Qualifications Required:
Bachelor degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Minimum 2+ years of related experience or 0 - 2 years with MS. Proficiency Required: SolidWorks, Fixtures/tooling design, Technical writing skills. Experience with risk management documentation. Experience using Lean and Six Sigma tools. Preferred: Statistical analysis and Minitab. Programming skills (hardware programming, Labview). Metallurgy/plastics/materials expertise. Project management skills.
