This corporate Reliability engineer position is part of the Engineering Tech Center, focused on discipline stewardship and leadership of our Reliability program. It is part of the overall Reliability program and will focus on processes, technology, methods, and best practices within the Reliability discipline at Lilly. The role will provide external focus, lead new technology introduction and implementation, and drive productivity initiatives. This position will be a global partner to sites and the corporate engineering function, leading key initiatives for these groups. Key Objectives/Deliverables/Responsibilities

Technical and Discipline leadership – global resource for the Reliability of equipment, systems, and processes. Network continuously with site Reliability engineers, influencing initiatives to improve uptime and predictability of equipment and systems at manufacturing sites. Knowledgeable of the GMARS system and how Reliability interacts with this tool. Engage proactively with major capital projects to influence equipment/system selection and ongoing operations of these systems. Advisor to the condition-based monitoring program, handling escalations and assisting in program improvements. Productivity improvement – identify and implement systemic improvements to improve cost effectiveness and stewardship of Lilly assets globally. Consultation - assist sites globally to ensure site needs are met for Reliability resources. Knowledge sharing - provide ongoing technical support to site plant engineering groups and CMOs/Alliances; mentor Lilly engineers; participate in creating and maintaining Engineering Standards and Best Practices. Support sites in building key technical capabilities. External Influence - monitor and influence external standards when appropriate and ensure compliance within Lilly. Leverage external resources to stay current and supplement internal resources. Coach/mentor and develop others in the discipline. Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in a plant engineering, Reliability, or maintenance role. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field. Additional Skills/Preferences

Demonstrated manufacturing or plant experience, including applying cGMPs in the manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership with influence across a broad spectrum. Proven business acumen. Technical expertise in sound engineering fundamentals and physical plant systems. Strong PC skills; excellent verbal and written communication; strong problem-solving and analytics with data and metrics; ability to build a business case. Project coordination skills. Ability to work independently with little direction. Experience using IBM Maximo software. Knowledge of procurement processes. Category II Vibration Analyst Certification (preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to influence without authority. Ability to clarify and simplify complex issues. Other Information

Domestic and some international travel required (typically 10 to 20%). Actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, and location. The anticipated wage for this position is $64,500 - $167,200. Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus, and Lilly offers a comprehensive benefits program, including retirement plans, medical/dental/vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, time off, and well-being benefits.
