We’re looking for a Process Mechanical Lead Engineer to join Jacobs in one of our Ohio offices or the Bingham Farms, MI office. You’ll work on projects that bring innovative solutions to municipal water and wastewater challenges locally and worldwide. You’ll be charged with planning, preliminary, and detailed design of water and wastewater treatment plants across Ohio and the region, including specifications and drawings for upgrades and expansions. You will prepare general arrangement drawings for treatment equipment and tanks, design piping and pumping systems, and provide oversight of construction. You’ll evaluate and select equipment, piping materials and valves, assist with facility layouts, develop calculations, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and construction documents. You’ll coordinate with other project disciplines, direct the work of CAD designers, and produce construction documents. As Process Mechanical Discipline Lead, you’ll oversee process mechanical teams, provide project leadership, mentor and grow the team, and collaborate within Jacobs’ community of practice to set standards and best practices in our region. You’ll have the opportunity to work across core water technical areas: Drinking Water & Reuse, Municipal Wastewater, Distribution and Conveyance, Water Resources, and Industrial Water. Base pay range : $110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Plan, design, and deliver process mechanical engineering for water and wastewater treatment plants Develop general arrangement drawings, piping and pumping system designs, and construction documents Coordinate with other disciplines and supervise CAD designers Lead the Process Mechanical discipline on projects, providing leadership and mentoring Set standards and best practices within the region and participate in the community of practice Collaborate on projects across Drinking Water & Reuse, Municipal Wastewater, Distribution and Conveyance, Water Resources, and Industrial Water Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or similar from an accredited university Minimum of 7 years of experience in process mechanical design of water and wastewater systems Active Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience with National Building Codes, EPA regulations, and 10 States Standards Strong teamwork skills and the ability to give/receive constructive feedback Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience managing remote domestic and international staff Preferred qualifications

10+ years’ experience in industrial, water, or wastewater process mechanical engineering Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., AFT Fathom, Pipe-Flo) Experience developing process flow diagrams and mass balance Experience with planning, cost development, scheduling, and construction management Experience with construction, startup, and troubleshooting Proficiency in MicroStation and/or Autodesk design suites Benefits and employment details

The base salary range is $110,000.00 to $150,000.00, with actual pay determined by location and other factors including skills, experience, and education.
