This role supports a joint customer Program Office responsible for acquiring the future GEOINT Ground Architecture to provide the user community with modular, open-architecture capabilities for global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information. As the System Engineering Management (SEM) Lead , you will oversee systems engineering efforts within a dynamic, evolving program environment. This role involves leading a team of systems engineers and other technical professionals to ensure adherence to engineering processes, documentation standards, and mission requirements. The SEM Lead will guide the program\'s Systems Engineering Lifecycle and act as a key point of coordination across functional areas to ensure successful delivery of technical capabilities. This position is critical to supporting the overall mission objectives and requires a strong leader who can manage both technical and strategic aspects of systems engineering. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leadership and Team Management Lead a cluster of systems engineers, including requirements engineers, risk analysts, and schedulers. Provide mentorship and direction to team members to align with program and organizational goals. Act as the primary interface between the systems engineering team and program management. Systems Engineering Oversight Ensure adherence to established engineering review board (ERB) processes. Oversee creation, review, and maintenance of engineering documentation, including requirements documents, risk management plans, and system design artifacts. Coordinate and integrate systems engineering efforts across multiple threads and components to meet mission objectives. Strategic Planning and Coordination Collaborate with program managers, solution epic owners, and thread architects to align engineering efforts with long-term program goals and vision (e.g., 2035 strategic vision). Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure technical solutions are cohesive and optimized for mission needs. Engage with stakeholders to understand mission needs and incorporate feedback into systems engineering processes. Process Improvement Identify and implement best practices to improve systems engineering workflows, processes, and outcomes. Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the systems engineering team. Stakeholder Engagement Communicate technical and strategic updates to division leadership and program stakeholders. Coordinate with external organizations and vendors to align with program objectives. Participate in solution epic management and assist in defining work streams and priorities. Required Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI Clearance with Poly BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7 Demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end systems engineering and integration lifecycle and the processes, tools, and artifacts used in the development and management of complex systems, including requirements management and analysis, architecture, system design, implementation, verification, validation, test, transition to operations, and maintenance. Knowledge of end-to-end systems and cross-component integration. Proven experience managing systems engineering teams in complex, multi-threaded environments. Familiarity with engineering review board (ERB) processes. Ability to oversee requirements development, risk analysis, and scheduling activities. Working knowledge of SAFe agile methodology, agile planning and management concepts, and Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) Great customer teaming skills: ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams Accomplished written and oral communicator, with the ability to develop various products in multiple formats, and lead and capture technical discussions and outcomes Demonstrated analysis and critical thinking skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strongly Desired Skills Experience in Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) environments Familiarity with GEOINT systems Familiarity with ground systems Familiarity with program acquisition processes and lifecycle management EEO Statement
